Double 2’s as End Shores
The Pacific Shoring Double 2″ Cylinder Pack Shores are mounted on either 18″ or 24″ long heavy-duty waler rails. Dual packs are offered with ranges from 18″ to 88″. Double 2″ Shores are used when more pressure is needed in a concentrated area of an excavation wall. One example application would be shoring the ends of a trench. When used in trench end shoring, these cylinder packs require 3″ x 3″ x 3/16″ square tube over sleeve constructed with ASTM A500 grade B or equivalent.
3 Inch Hydraulic Corner Strut
The Pacific Shoring Hydraulic Strut is a 3” aluminum hydraulic cylinder mounted on 18” to 24” long heavy-duty waler rails. The assembly also has an optional angle bracket so that the strut can be set on a wale and position the cylinder at the wale web. Lift brackets are attached to the assembly for the purpose of setting the strut and providing vertical safety support so that the strut cannot fall into the excavation.
In all situations, a competent person should determine that the strut is properly set and fixed into position
3 Inch Hydraulic Strut
A Hydraulic Strut is a 3” aluminum hydraulic cylinder mounted on 18” to 24” long heavy-duty waler rails. These are used on waled excavation support systems.
This hydraulic strut is generally used on waled excavation support systems and directly on piles in pile and plate shoring systems. The Pacific Shoring Hydraulic Strut can be used in any situation where hydraulic force is needed.
6-Inch Hydraulic Strut
The Pacific Shoring Products 6-Inch Hydraulic Strut is designed to repurpose components used in the traditional 4-Way Hydraulic Brace System. This Single Ram application allows you to use a single 6-Inch Hydraulic Strut in conjunction with cylinder and socket side attachments. Together they can be used in waled excavation support systems as well as pile and plate shoring applications. The Pacific Shoring Products 6-Inch Hydraulic Strut is generally used in situations where hydraulic force is required. The system uses an auto-retractable 3-inch hydraulic cylinder with 36 inches of stroke that provides a 40,000 lb. safe working load. The cylinder is encapsulated in a 6-inch corner bracket and high-strength steel over sleeve extension assembly. 6-Inch Hydraulic Struts are designed to work in trenches up to 25 ft. in width and depth. In all situations, a competent person should determine that the strut is properly set and fixed into position.
The Pacific Shoring Products End Shores are all aluminum hydraulic shoring system designed specifically for protecting workers at the ends of trench and pit excavations. The End Shore is designed to work in trenches from 4 ft. to 20 ft. deep and 2 ft. to 12 ft. wide. Corrugated sheeting is set behind the shore against the trench wall to prevent trench wall collapse and raveling. The End Shore must be used in conjunction with independent linear shoring systems that protect the trench walls.
High Clearance Shore
High Clearance Shores are generally used on big pipe projects where the pipe being laid is greater than 36” in diameter. The Pacific Shoring High Clearance Shore provides clearance from the bottom of the trench.
These shores must be installed and removed from outside the trench. They are built from heavy-duty waler rails and double 2” or 3” cylinders. The horizontal spacing of these stores varies by the strength of the hydraulic cylinders.
High Clearance Shores come in 8ft, 12ft, 16ft, and 20ft lengths. Allowable trench widths are 4ft to 12ft. Designs beyond these parameters are achievable when using a design by a registered engineer.
Heavy Duty Hydraulic Waler Rail System
The Heavy Duty Hydraulic Waler Rail System is generally used where it is not practical to use vertical hydraulic shoring. The strength of the waler rail allows greater horizontal spacing of the hydraulic cylinders.
The maximum vertical spacing of the wale and cylinders is 4 ft the same as with vertical shoring; however, the horizontal spacing can be as much as 10 ft. Waler rails are always used with sheeting. Vertical sheeting such as timber lagging can be driven behind the wales as the excavation proceeds to depth. This method is particularly useful in soft clays or running sand.
Aluminum Vertical Hydraulic Locking Shores
The Pacific Shoring Aluminum Hydraulic Locking Cylinder was developed to provide a mechanical mechanism that fully locks it in place so that it cannot collapse should the hydraulic pressure be reduced. A hand turn at the screw is all that is necessary. The end blocks are fully compatible with rails used on the PSH aluminum hydraulic shores.
Vertical Aluminum Hydraulic Shoring
Vertical Aluminum Hydraulic Shores are used to support the sides of a trench and prevent a trench collapse. These lightweight shores can be transported, installed, and removed safely and easily.
The shores are hinged so they can be folded when lowered into the trench and then opened. After, it is pressurized using a hydraulic hand pump which prevents cave-ins from happening. The hydraulic fluid is water-soluble, environmentally safe, and biodegradable.
These are typically used in linear trench applications and are installed outside the excavation. This tool is useful for repair and utility work such as sewer and water lines as well as any other projects that require effective spot bracing.
