Pacific Shoring Products Mud Plates, also referred to as Mud Guards are heavy-duty, all-steel static systems engineered to enhance worker protection at the ends of trench excavations. Fabricated from high-strength steel, these mud plates are designed to block mud, loose soil, sand, and other debris from entering the excavation.
They are especially effective in unstable soil conditions, helping maintain a cleaner, safer work environment so operations can continue with minimal interruption. By containing material intrusion, mud plates also support overall site efficiency.
Available in a standard 4 ft. height with lengths ranging from 2 ft. to 12 ft., these plates are compatible with a wide variety of trench shields. For proper use, each mud plate must be installed in conjunction with at least one spreader pipe at the end where it is deployed, and it can be used on one or both ends of the excavation as needed.
